  the description on the rental booked online was not clear that this was a unit of 3. I thought it was a single family house and therefore much too small for a family of 3 and 2 dogs.. also bad ant problem.

  We had a very good experience and were quite happy with our whole stay. I was under the impression when booking that it was a single bungalow. Not until we arrived did I we realize it was 3 apts. hearing our upstairs neighbors walking around was a surprise but we did get use to it. I would suggest a few more hooks in the bathroom to hang more towels &/or robes. Also our units wall clock was not working---battery low???? And maybe a couple of ice trays?? Luckily we brought 2 with us but for people that fly would be a problem. Other than that our experience was very good.

  The property had everything we needed for a simple beach vacation on a budget. Its location is the greatest thing about it - right in the middle of all the ambiance, 2.5 blocks to a beach and the boardwalk (you need to cross 2 streets), half block from a grocery store, and it is on a very quiet street.
  As other reviewers mentioned, the property is in need of a major construction/renovation.
  There is a hole in a floor in a bathroom (covered by vinyl and a rug), and entire floor has a slope, - but nevertheless, it is a nice little apartment for a beach vacation, and we enjoyed staying there. We would stay there again.

  We greatly enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was somewhat small and would benefit from a couple small repairs, but it was perfect for just my husband and me. It was great being just a block or two from the beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

  Overall I was very pleased with the rental. It was very cute and clean. Was perfect for my dog and I. The only two negative comments I would make is that the bathroom floor was a little soft in spots--should be repaired, and, this is more an annoyance, one of the kitchen cabinets would not staye closed. But, I would definitely rent again, the location was great, 1 1/2 blocks from the beach and it was quiet.

  We rented the cottage while visiting my daughter, who lives in the area. I slept there due to a lack of space at her house. On the days we visited the beach, it gave us a place to retreat to in the heat of the day.

  We decided to rent a Bungalow in Virginia Beach via Anchor Realty Group. Excellent choice. Dog Friendly and a few steps from the Beach, what's better then that :)
  
  I recommend the activities:
  -KAYAK NATURE TOURS
  -RUDEE INLET PARASAIL
  -VIRGINIA AQUARIUM
  
  And a very special and delicious restaurant :
  -CATCH 31 AT HILTON
  
  Beach, Good food including BBQs from HARRIS TEETER fresh food market, Nice and polite people, Clean environment, and loved the Surfer vibe! ;)
  
  In summary, a week in sand, sun and joy... now, back to reality!

  I booked this last minute, so I was thrilled I was able to find something so close to the beach. The property was clean and well-maintained. However, there was some confusion over the parking as we could not fit our vehicle in the driveway. We were ticketed for parking on the street, but we addressed this with Anchor, and they will hopefully remedy the situation. Also, it was GREAT that they took pets, but I wish it was made more obvious that dogs were not allowed at the beach. I would have loved for my dog to be able to go swimming. :(

    We are so sorry about the trouble that you had with parking! We now have worked out a system to give our tenants a parking pass from the city which allows street parking. I'm also sorry about your frustration of not being able to take your dog on the beach. This is a frustrating part of the boardwalk area! South Beach (south of Rudee Inlet Bridge) and the North End (any street number higher than 40) allow dogs between 6pm and 10 am. I've found an early morning walk with my pup on the beach is a good way to start the day!

  Overall, although the list of problems below seems long, I was pleased enough with the rental. I list things needing attention only so you can make the rental more comfortable and safer for future tenants. I will definitely call Anchor when I return.
  
  Significantly, while the bed was very comfortable, the futon is so bad that the boards beneath it feel as if there is no cushion on them at all.
  
  There were also electrical problems: the overhead light and fan in the kitchen worked the first evening we were there, but progressively got worse to the point that it didn't work at all; the outlet near the kitchen window made things flicker, and the lamp in the bedroom seemed to have had a burned out light bulb but when we closed drawer in the table it was on, the lamp went on (I had already checked to see if the bulb was loose, and it wasn't).
  
  The floor in the bathroom is in dire need of repair: around the toilet and where you step out of the tub the floor is so spongy that it threatens to fall through.
  
  There is no place to hang things up to dry: the bathroom has a long board that could fit 4 to 6 hooks, yet only has one hook on it, so there is room only for one bath towel. Other than that there were several hooks on the back of the entrance door, but nowhere near what is need to hang up bathing suits and beach towels, and there is no clothes line outside.
  
  Speaking of outside, I was told there was a picnic table, which there was, but there are no benches.
  
  In the kitchen, there was no can opener or colander for draining pasta. Additionally, it would be a kindness to have some toilet paper available for when new people arrive.
  
  Lastly, we were given incorrect information for getting online and it was several hours before my request for the correct password was provided.

  Adorable cottage 1.5 blocks from the beach! Be careful of parking... a friend of mine got towed. There are no parking passes issued. If the driveway is full - parking is $10 per day at a garage about 5 blocks away. Much cheaper than a $130 tow and a $45 ticket.Its also rather cold inside the unit, which you'll be glad of when you return from a day out in the hot sun. However, bring extra blankets for the nightime (1 was not sufficient even though it was 90 degrees outside), and maybe even a humidifier for the air inside of the cottage as the AC blows dry air (we woke up congested every morning). The shower is amazing, excellent pressure, and the cottage is too cute for words! I called it my "dream cottage" near the beach. Rent this place - you won't be sorry!
